Narrative:

The rice pot is an important ritual implement in Tibetan Buddhism, mainly used in the practice of offering food, especially to hungry ghosts. This ritual originated from Buddhist scriptures and aims to bless food through mantras to transform it into nectar, which can be offered to invisible beings and help them alleviate their suffering of hunger and thirst.

Dharma rice pots are usually made of metal, such as copper or gilded metal, and may be engraved with mantras or Buddhist symbols to enhance their power. When using it, practitioners will put rice grains in the rice jar and recite specific mantras, such as the "Food Transformation Mantra", to make the food full of magical power, able to spread to all directions and benefit all living beings.

The origin of this practice can be traced back to the time of the Buddha. It is said that Venerable Ananda once encountered the hungry ghost of Yama-mouth at night, and out of fear he asked the Buddha for a solution. The Buddha then taught the method of offering food. Through chanting mantras and making offerings, hungry ghosts can obtain food and ultimately be liberated.

The rice pot for practicing Dharma is not only a tool for offering, but also symbolizes the spirit of compassion and generosity. Through this practice, practitioners can cultivate compassion, accumulate merit and virtue, and be in harmony with the vows of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.
