Description:

Mount Kailash (the main peak of the Gangdise Mountains) is located in the Ngari region of Tibet, on the borders of India and Nepal. It stands at an altitude of 6,600 meters. The Buddha preached the Dharma here, and five hundred Arhats' Dharma bodies still reside there. It is considered the most sacred Buddhist sanctuary. The Desi Snow Mountain mentioned in Buddhist scriptures refers to this very spot. This mountain is the first of the twenty-four holy realms and sixty-two mandalas of Chakrasamvara, and is surrounded by numerous sacred mountains.

This mountain possesses the same merits as the thirteenth-level Buddhas. Seeing this mountain is like seeing the Buddha's body, and the merits are the same. This is the teaching of countless patriarchs. Many great accomplished masters, such as Guru Rinpoche and Milarepa, later came here to practice in retreat, achieving immeasurable and boundless great accomplishments, both common and uncommon. This was the blessing of the Venerable Gangdi Snow Mountain.

Before this vast and holy mountain, a wish-fulfilling lake lies, teeming with fish. These fish are manifestations of great bodhisattvas. Out of compassion for the region's lack of medical care, the bodhisattvas offer fish soup to women experiencing signs of labor difficulties, ensuring a smooth delivery. Precious, round relics grow annually from the mountain's rock faces, becoming known as "Snow Mountain Relics." These "Snow Mountain Relics" can be found near the wish-fulfilling lake on auspicious days; they are incredibly rare and precious.

The relics of the Snow Mountain are indistinguishable from those of accomplished masters. If sincerely enshrined in a pagoda, they become the same as the relics of accomplished masters. Because the mountain is imbued with the Dharmakaya and wisdom life force of the Buddha and the five hundred Arhats, seeing the mountain is like seeing the Buddha. Therefore, this sacred mountain is reverently called "Gang Rinpoche." Those who hear its name and have unwavering faith in it will receive immeasurable blessings.

According to the tantras, in the past, the Buddha, accompanied by five hundred great Arhats, descended upon the Mount Kailash with miraculous powers. With the power of great compassion and the illusion of the three blind spots, they manifested the union of Heruka and Vajrayogini, subdued all the non-human beings in the area, and instructed them to protect the Dharma. They also predicted that this place would become the great land of accomplishment, the first of the twenty-four holy realms and sixty-two mandalas of Heruka. In the future, countless great accomplished practitioners have practiced here, gaining immeasurable common and uncommon accomplishments. Therefore, every year, precious and round snow mountain relics are born in the rock reservoirs of this vast and meritorious mandala. Later, the relics produced in this holy place are called "Snow Mountain Relics."
