Description:
Kurukulla, also known as the Wisdom Mother, is a deity in Tibetan Buddhism considered a protector and preceptor.

Origin: Kurukulla is considered an emanation of Amitabha Buddha.

Meaning: "Rig Byed" is a combination of wisdom (Rig) and accomplishment (Byed). In Tibetan Buddhism, she is called "Kurukullā," the "Mother of Knowledge and Enlightenment"¹²³⁴⁵. "Kurukullā" originates from her abode on Mount Kurukulla in Lāṭadeśa.

Practicing the Guru Rinpoche (Mother Guru) Dharma can eliminate karmic obstacles, increase popularity, bring power, fame, and the love and protection of subordinates and relatives, grant children, ensure the union of lovers, bring wisdom and beauty, and ensure that all worldly and spiritual resources, including blessings and wealth, are abundant and fulfilled.²

The Guru Rinpoche's form has one face representing the oneness of Dharma nature, three eyes symbolizing understanding the three times (past, present, and future), four arms representing the four attainments or the four immeasurable minds, and an wrathful expression representing the subjugation of the four demons. The red color of the deity represents the activity of "attracting love" among the four activities of pacifying, increasing, magnetizing, and subjugating.²

Guru Rinpoche plays an important role in Tibetan Buddhism, not only in mythology but also in actual practice and rituals.
