Description: Padmasambhava is one of the most important figures in Tibetan Buddhism, revered as "the second Shakyamuni." The following are some of the stories and legends about Padmasambhava:
1. **Born from a Lotus:** According to legend, Padmasambhava was not born from a mother's womb, but rather emerged from a lotus flower, hence the name "Padmasambhava."
2. **Becoming a King:** After his birth, Padmasambhava was adopted as a prince by the king of Uddiyana, and later became king.
3. **Seeking the Path and Practicing:** However, Padmasambhava deeply understood the illusion and suffering of the Saha world, resolutely abandoning the throne to seek the path. He studied Buddhism under many great practitioners and repeatedly went to terrifying cemeteries for arduous practice, ultimately becoming the foremost master of supernatural powers in his time. The mantra of Guru Rinpoche, "Om Ah Hum Vajra Guru Padma Siddhi Hum," possesses miraculous blessings, helping to dispel inner turmoil and bringing comfort and healing to the reciter. Furthermore, Guru Rinpoche's terma (hidden treasures) are important Dharma treasures in Tibetan Buddhism, known as "terma," possessing a mysterious nature, awaiting the appropriate time to be discovered to benefit future sentient beings.
