Narrative:

Vajra is closely related to Vajrasattva, a powerful wrathful deity responsible for clearing away filth and obstacles and subduing demons and impurities. In the Tantric tradition, the image of Vajrasattva varies. He may appear in two, six, or eight arms, and his body color may vary, such as indigo, red, blue, or green.

**Story and Origin**

The origin of Vajrasattva is related to the moment when Sakyamuni Buddha was about to enter Nirvana. At that time, King Brahma with Curly Hair was in heaven entertaining himself with the goddesses and had not come to listen to the Dharma. The Buddha sent the Mantra Fairy and the Vajra God to summon the Brahma King, but they were all trapped by the Brahma King's magic and were unsuccessful. After seven days, the Buddha's heart light rotated counterclockwise and transformed into Vajra, which flew into the air and came to where the Brahma King was. With his divine power, Vajra transformed the foul air into a pure land, rescued the Curse Fairy and Vajra God, and successfully brought Brahma back to the Buddha. Brahma repented of his mistakes and vowed to protect Buddhism. The Buddha predicted that he would become the "Pure Light Buddha" in the future, and Vajra would become the "Great Powerful God King Buddha".

**The symbol of the Vajra**

The Vajra is a ritual implement that symbolizes the power to remove filth and subdue demons. In Tantric practice, the Vajra is often used in conjunction with the Vajra mantra to achieve the effect of removing obstacles and eliminating disasters. Different tantric schools have different ways of practicing the Vajra, for example:

- **Fujian Gushan Sect**: The vajra is engraved with the Four Heavenly Kings and the Eight Great Bodhisattvas.

- **Beijing School**: Practice with the Vajra Mantra and talismans.

- **Sichuan School**: Use the five-pronged vajra to practice the Dharma.

The Vajra of the Vajra plays an important role in Tantric practice. It can help practitioners clear obstacles, enhance their magical powers, and protect them from demons.
