Three-sided Phurba (recycled wood from Guru Rinpoche's walking stick) ~ Limited edition

In 746 AD, King Sindu Retra of the Jakar dynasty invited Guru Rinpoche to the Muthang region. Upon his arrival from India, Guru Rinpoche brought two cypress walking sticks with him. One was placed in Nagye Township, Trongsa District, Bhutan, and the other behind Gugye Monastery in Muthang District. Guru Rinpoche planted the two walking sticks upside down in the ground, symbolizing the longevity of the Buddha's secret teachings. As a result, a tree with branches planted upside down grew from it. This tree can still be seen at Guru Rinpoche's sacred site in Bhutan.

The Bhutanese government highly protects and respects this tree, designating it as the national tree. Strict regulations prohibit its felling or pruning. Broken branches must not be discarded; they must be collected and preserved by the monastery's abbot.
