Material: Hand-carved wood. Buddha statue casting
Size: 20*14.5*10cm (approximate size)
Narrative:
The myriad phenomena abide in emptiness and silence, transcending the cycle of birth and extinction. Each form arises in accordance with its conditions, manifesting in diverse appearances. With immeasurable compassion, the great Bodhisattva Mahasattva Ksitigarbha universally aids beings to attain liberation.
Within the crimson altar shrine, akin to a majestic mountain peak standing silently, gradually ascending in a tranquil corner of the temple. Its wooden texture is clear, seemingly imbued with the traces of millennia-old wisdom, evoking a serene and mystical sensation. Within the shrine resides the exquisite statue of Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha, vividly brought to life through meticulous craftsmanship. Clad in magnificent robes, with a dignified and compassionate countenance, he seems to emanate boundless love towards all sentient beings. This statue exudes a sacred aura, evoking a sense of reverence in those who behold it.
In Buddhist scriptures, Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha is revered as a compassionate and profoundly wise being, often hailed as the "Bodhisattva of Great Strength in Rescuing and Protecting." Stories of Ksitigarbha in Buddhist classics are replete with profound accounts, none more renowned than his vow: "Until hell is empty, I vow not to attain Buddhahood." With a heart full of compassion, Ksitigarbha universally saves beings, particularly guiding departed souls in the realms of the afterlife, leading them to rebirth in the human world for spiritual practice and liberation. This selfless compassion and salvation become the eternal hope and reliance in the hearts of devotees.
This statue of Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha is not merely an artistic masterpiece but also a symbol of devout faith. Its emanation of sacred energy allows one to perceive the Bodhisattva's compassionate power in liberating sentient beings, as if guiding them out of suffering and back into enlightenment. Whether art collectors or Buddhist practitioners, all are moved by the spiritual resonance of Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha, eager to enshrine it within their hearts.
