Composition of surrounding deities and mandala:

* The densely packed deities around are surrounded by flames, which are the **retainers of Hevajra, the manifestations or the twenty-eight groups, dakinis, wrathful guardians and other retainers**.

* The center of the top may be **Shakyamuni Buddha** or **Vajradhara (Vairocana Buddha)**, indicating that the esoteric tradition originated from the Buddha or the root tantra.

* Many great Tibetan masters or incarnations of the deities can also be seen on the left and right sides, such as Vajrapani Bodhisattva and Vajrayogini.

The origin and significance of Hevajra:

* Originated from the important Indian esoteric classic "Hevajra Tantra", it is the highest deity of the highest yoga tantra.

* It is the wrathful incarnation of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva in the tantra, and has infinite compassion and wrathful wisdom.

* The practice of Hevajra is the core of the tantra that many Tibetan Buddhist sects (such as Gelug, Kagyu, Sakya) attach great importance to.

* Practicing the Hevajra method can quickly accumulate merit, subdue obstacles, understand the freedom of life and death, and become a Buddha in this moment.
