Narrative:
Vajrapāpali Bodhisattva (Sanskrit: वज्iप णि, romanized: Vajrapāṇi; Tibetan: ཕྱག་ན་རྡོ་རྗེ།, Willy's transliteration: phyag na rdo rje, THL: chak-na dorjé), is also known as the Secret Lord of Vajrapāpali, the Vajra Chief, the Secret Lord of Vajrapani, the Vajrapani Bodhisattva, the Secret Lord, the Secret Vajra, the Vajra Secret Lord Bodhisattva, etc. He holds a vajra in his right hand, which symbolizes the "firm and indestructible bodhicitta".
In Mongolian Buddhism, the Khan is regarded as an incarnation of Vajrapani.
Vajrapāṇi is a Sanskrit compound noun, literally meaning Vajra in hand or Vajra in hand. Vajrapani Bodhisattva is one of the Vajrapani gods, namely Vajrapani, and is a Yaksha god in heaven. He accompanied Sakyamuni for a long time and served as a Dharma protector. Mahayana Buddhism believes that he is the incarnation of Bodhisattva. He received many secret teachings from Sakyamuni and passed them on to later generations.
Vajrapani is one of the significant bodhisattvas in Tibetan Buddhism, symbolizing strength and protection. He is usually depicted as an angry bodhisattva holding a vajra, representing his supreme power to overcome all obstacles and difficulties. Here's more about Vajrapani's origin and stories:
### Origin and Stories of Vajrapani

2. **Stories**:
- One well-known story describes Vajrapani's power during a teaching by Shakyamuni Buddha when the demon Mara tried to disrupt the discourse. Vajrapani appeared immediately, holding a vajra and driving Mara away, protecting the Buddha and the audience.
- Another story tells of Vajrapani protecting a devout practitioner during a fierce battle, enabling the practitioner to complete his practice and achieve enlightenment.
