Narration:
Sachet, also called **sachet**, **rongshou**, **incense tassel**, **fragrance ball**, **peiwan**, **Xinxiang**, is a kind of A pouch containing spices. In ancient China, it was one of the ornaments worn by minors¹. Traditional sachets are mostly made of silk and contain spices such as realgar, smoked grass, and mugwort leaves. Sachets have the function of warding off evil spirits and attracting good luck, so during the Dragon Boat Festival, people often wear sachets¹.
The history of sachets can be traced back to the pre-Qin period, when spices included Pi Zhi and Qiulan¹. Later, in order to refresh themselves and ward off evil spirits, people put spices in sachets, strung them with cloth ropes, and hung them tightly around their necks. Such sachets not only have practical functions, but also become a symbol of life-saving and auspiciousness².
Therefore, sachets have become a traditional custom in China, representing blessings and peace. ¹²
