"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful."
~The Buddha |

Material: Conch. Right-handed trident
Size: 25 cm (approximate size)
Detailed description:
The conch shell is a very representative item in Buddhism and is often seen as an offering or ritual implement.
The Dharma conch is one of the Eight Auspicious Symbols; in addition to representing auspiciousness and perfection, the Eight Auspicious Symbols are also auspicious signs of the Buddha’s body.
Among the eight offerings, the part that represents "joy" is the wonderful sound offering to the Buddha, which is a praise for the purity of the Buddha's body, Dharma, and mind.
The conch was considered a rare treasure in ancient times.
The conch shell can make sounds to gather monks together, and it also represents auspicious sounds and the spread of Buddhism. |
