Gurudev, also known as the Mother of the Ming Buddha, is the deity who is regarded as caring and keeping the precepts in Tibetan Buddhism.
Origin: Zuoming Buddha Mother is considered to be the incarnation of Amitabha.
Meaning: "Rig Byed", which is the combination of Rig and Byed. Tibetan Buddhism calls her the "Mother of the Buddha of Enlightenment" and the "Mother of Knowledge and Enlightenment"¹²³⁴⁵. Kurukullā originated from His abode on the Kurukulla mountain in Lāṭadeśa¹²³⁴⁵.
Practicing the Dharma of the Mother of Gurusavali Buddha can eliminate karma, increase popularity, gain power, reputation, be loved by subordinates, relatives and friends, seek children, get married with lovers, be intelligent, beautiful, have blessings, wealth and other worldly laws. And there is no shortage of material resources in the transcendental world, and all wishes can be fulfilled².
One side of the Dharma image of the Guru Buddha Mother represents the oneness of Dharma nature, the three eyes symbolize the access to the three lives, the four arms represent the four kinds of achievements or the four immeasurable hearts, the angry face represents the subduing of the four demons, and the red color of the deity has four attributes: breath, increase, embrace, and kill. In career, it means "love" career².
Gurudev plays an important role in Tibetan Buddhism. She not only occupies an important position in mythological stories, but also plays an important role in actual practice and rituals.
